If the weather is splendid here at Schoechler Lake, you can go for a hike along the Mission Tejas State Park Trail, and Schoechler Lake is a location with many visitors from Jacksonville. This lake is so wonderful. The Neches Bluff Trail is a good hiking trail close to Schoechler Lake, and let's not forget       Bodenhamer Creek which is a stream that you may bump into while here. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area in the vicinity of Schoechler Lake has to offer. A good place to camp here at Schoechler Lake is Neches Bluff Campground, and Holiday Inn Express CROCKETT is a good place to get some rest. The high level of rain makes Schoechler Lake a pretty wet site; through May this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months                  is August. Summertime at Schoechler Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 70's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 50's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Schoechler Lake.
