Lake Somerville-Birch State Park is a magnificent campground nearby, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Yegua Creek Park Nature Trail. Schlindler Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is August. Through the summertime here at Schlindler Lake, high       temperatures mostly reach the 90's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 70's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Schlindler Lake are in the 30's.
