During the wintertime highs are commonly in the 50's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Sawmill Lake drop into the 30's. The Neches Bluff Trail offers hiking at its best; at Duren Lake Dam close to Sawmill Lake there are some exciting things to       see. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Sawmill Lake. Neches Bluff Campground is a good campground here; as expected, this is a great area for folks who like lakes, Duren Lake is a lake around here. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Mouth of Hickory Creek Campground, and Sawmill Lake is right by the Old Tram Hiking Trail. Much rainfall falls at Sawmill Lake; all through May this area sees the most rain while August is the month                  with the least amount of precipitation. If you need a location to stay Weston Inn & Suites is a magnificent choice. Allen Branch is a great site to stop by, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Mission Tejas State Park Trail.
