Sand Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; through the month of May you get the most rain around here while January is ordinarily the driest month. The warmest time of the year at Sand Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 70's. There is a splendid hiking trail close to Sand Lake called the Waxahachie Trail; a lake nearby is Sand Pit Lake. Clearview Store and Marina is a great campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
