If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Rose Lake Dam; going for a hike along the Palmetto State Park - Nature and Hiking Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. During the months of summer, highs generally are in the 90's at Salt Lake; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. All through the winter this place gets highs in       the 60's; overnight lows throughout the winter for Salt Lake tend to be in the 30's. After a long day outdoors Best Western Lockhart Hotel & Suites is a good place to spend a night or two, and hiking along the Palmetto State Park - River Trail is tremendous fun. This lake is so wonderful. Carefree Inn Coachway is a good spot to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Salt Lake that you need to camp here for a while, River Bend RV Park & Campground is                  a delightful site for that. Take a side tour to Seals Creek, and Salt Lake is right by the Palmetto State Park - Palmetto Trail. And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more to do in close proximity to Salt Lake. If you came to camp Ben's RV Park is a fine site to do that, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Luling Municipal Golf Course.
