It is more of an RV park. It's proximity to all the touristy things to do in Galveston can't be beat, however, the sites are a little tight, so if you are into outdoor living this place is not for you. There is a casual restaurant Boudreaux's on the Bay next to the park that you can relax and have a beer at and if you want to wet a line or crab you can do that right from the park. I will go there again for a quick getaway.... |

We have always enjoyed our stays In Galveston Island State Park. The sites are well-maintained, the restrooms clean, and the beach is wonderful! We only wosh we could get there more often! Many times the campground is full, because so many from neighboring towns (especially Houston, where we live) want to stay there, so we the campground is full. The staff is helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend staying at the campground, just make your reservations early!... |
