Don't leave Round Lake without first going for a hike along the Sea Rim State Park Trail; do set aside some time for West Basin since you're here at Round Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Days Inn and Suites Port Arthur is a perfect place to get some rest, and lakes are such serene locations, why not go to Lost Lake. Near Round Lake you hit upon a golf course called       Palms Golf Course at Pleasure Island, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Port Arthur/Nederland Area. Summertime highs at Round Lake usually tend to be in the 90's, and the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, ordinarily in the 70's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 60's while Round Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 40's. Taylor Bayou is a stream that you may bump into while here. You'll need more than a day                  to look at everything Round Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lazy L Campgrounds. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Round Lake is peerless! Round Lake is not far at all from Beaumont-Port Arthur, and Round Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Sea Rim State Park is a nice place to camp nearby. A great deal of precipitation falls at Round Lake; September is the month that gets the most rain, and March is the month with the least moisture.
