Nearby Crow Canyon is a glorious site to go if you're at Roden Lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Roden Lake, and the nighttime is slightly colder of course, mostly in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and overnight lows at Roden Lake during the winter usually dip into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.       Lin Prong is a delightful stream that is worth visiting; Roden Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Silver Hills Mobile Home Park is a nice local campground. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Kerrville, and if you come at the right time of year, Medina River offers some good whitewater. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Roden Lake is great! If you need a site to stay Flagstaff Inn is a nice choice; whitewater paddling is not for everybody                  but if it's for you then, we recommend Guadalupe River. Why not stop at Roden Lake Dam since you're here, and during your spree here you'll meet some folks from Kerrville for sure. A lake close by is Falls Lake; camping at Happy Days RV Park is always a glorious experience. A visit to Roden Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Verde Springs, and you can go for a hike on the Hill Country State Natural Area Trail.
