If you need a site to stay Quality Inn & Suites Athens is a tremendous choice; there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the Purtis Creek State Park Trail. Some of the water nearby flows, like Big Duncan Branch. So many entertaining things to do at Roberson Lake, so little time. Golf can be played at Echo Creek       Country Club, and you'll perhaps meet some people from Athens here. This lake is so wonderful. Echols Lake is a glorious lake in the neighborhood of Roberson Lake; Roberson Lake Dam is a gorgeous site. A good deal of precipitation falls at Roberson Lake; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is August. There are other spots here than Roberson Lake, for example Echols Lake; camping is available at Lake Athens Marina and                  RV Park. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Roberson Lake reach the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 70's.
