On a brilliant day at Roach Lake you can take a hike along the Walter Buck Wildlife Management Area Trail, and this is a popular spot for folks from Kerrville. Near Roach Lake you come across good places like Levels Hollow; Rodeway Inn Junction is a delightful spot to get some rest. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater       paddling on Llano River, and East Spring is a pretty site to have a look at while you're at Roach Lake. If you need a place to stay Junction - Days Inn is a great choice, and there are other places here than Roach Lake, for example Moody Lake. Not much precipitation falls here at Roach Lake; most of the rain falls through May, and January is the month with the least moisture. There's so much to do here at Roach Lake that you need to camp here for a while, South Llano River State Park is a good spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Junction is a good lake close to Roach Lake, and a delightful location for whitewater paddling is Llano River - Johnson Fork.
