Camping at Roach Lake is fine fun, Lakeview Lazy Daze RV Park is a fine local campground, and float down the rapids of Llano River - Johnson Fork in a kayak. Levels Hollow is a tremendous site to spend some time at, and Joy Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Roach Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the       60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 60's; during the dark hours in the winter at Roach Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. Around Roach Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here while January is generally the driest month. Just can't get enough of Roach Lake. Here at Roach Lake there are plenty of people from Kerrville, and if you need a spot to stay Econo Lodge is a fine choice. Days Inn                  is a splendid place to get some rest, and Moody Lake Dam has fine water scenery. This lake is so wonderful. Near Roach Lake you find the Walter Buck Wildlife Management Area Trail which is a great hiking trail, and East Spring is always fun to check out. Lakes? Sure, Moody Lake is in the vicinity; if you came for an overnight stay South Llano River State Park is a great place to camp.
