Go to River Lakes if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are good; Laurent Lake is a lake that's near River Lakes, and do take a hike on the Mercy Trail. You simply ought to go to Simon Bottom while you're here at River Lakes; there's always Laurent Lake Dam to check out right next door to River Lakes.

probably interested in lakes, Stock Pen Lake is one of those nearby, and Huffman Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at River Lakes. Why not
take a refreshing hike along the Double Lake Trail; Magnolia RV Park is a great local campground. For the duration of the summertime at River Lakes highs are regularly in the 90's; the overnight is quite chillier of course, usually
in the 70's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 50's; through the dark hours in the winter at River Lakes temperatures descend to the 30's.

| I remember living about 3 or 4 dirt roads past the lake coming from the main entrance (somewhere between Elsie's Alley and Rene Ln) when I was a kid (1978-1979), and the place looked nasty back then, as I believe it was a slow development. Mostly cheap mobile homes, dirt roads and dangerous living, I could't go outside much with all of the snakes that were running loose within easy sight on a DAILY basis. I wouldn't mids driving through to see what has since become of it, but my memory is remembers this place vividly, and not in a good way.... |

Nice campground. However I would hold off until all construction has been completed. Great prices and nice scenery. One problem was that probably due to construction the ants were out in force. Once completed it will be one of the nicest parks on the north side of the lake.......ing the lake.
