Get yourself into a kayak and hit Middle Bosque River, and there are nice spots to look at along the Cameron Park Hike and Bike Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Red Bud Lake is great fun, Lone Star Motel is a great local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Sleep Inn & Suites. The warmest time of the year at Red Bud Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. For the       duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while Red Bud Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. Just can't get enough of Red Bud Lake. Don't leave Red Bud Lake without first going for a hike along the Mother Neff State Park Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Mother Neff State Park is a great place to camp, and people from Waco love to come                  here. Red Bud Lake gets a normal amount of rain; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is January.
