Red Bud Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Mother Neff State Park is a great place to camp nearby, and if you need a spot to stay Sleep Inn & Suites is a good choice. There are plenty of people from Waco here at Red Bud Lake, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Cameron Park Hike and Bike Trail. | | is quite cooler of course, generally in the 70's. Through the winter highs are generally in the 50's while Red Bud Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful location for whitewater paddling near Red Bud Lake is Middle Bosque River, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Mother Neff State Park Trail.
