It's always fun to stop by Rattlesnake Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to stumble upon some nice people from Austin-Round Rock here. There's great hiking along the Rim Rock Trail; Blanco River is a pleasant whitewater spot nearby. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Barton Creek, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Circle C Golf Club is in close proximity.

For the duration of the days of summer here at Rattlesnake Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 90's, and the overnight is a bit cooler of course, ordinarily in the 60's. This lake is so wonderful. Hunters Chase Farms is a brilliant local campground, and the Mary Moore Searight Park Trail offers hiking
at its best. A magnificent close by hotel is Best Western Southgate Inn & Suites, and while you're here, you could stop at Flat Creek. Rattlesnake Lake is a good site of typical rain; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is January.
