There's so much to do here at Ratliff Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Oxford Ranch Campground is a great place for that. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Hickory Creek River; if you need a place to stay Best Western Llano is a wonderful choice. Just can't get enough of Ratliff       Lake. Near Ratliff Lake you stumble on the Echo Canyon Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and Bullhead Mountain is clearly visible from Ratliff Lake. From a precipitation point of view Ratliff Lake is a quite common place; the month with most of the rain is May, and December is when it's the driest. The Summit Trail is a great hiking trail close to Ratliff Lake, and Ratliff Dam is a spot that is close to Ratliff Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent                  nearby hotel is Days Inn and Suites Llano, and Ratliff Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Llano River Golf and RV Resort is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Crabapple Creek offers some glorious whitewater. High temperatures at Ratliff Lake during the summertime months are in the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 50's while Ratliff Lake night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 30's.
