For the duration of the long summer days here at Railroad Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 90's; the night is somewhat chillier of course, mostly in the 70's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Railroad Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Bull Branch is one       of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting, and if you need a spot to stay Best Western Taylor Inn is a glorious choice. On a splendid day at Railroad Lake you can take a hike along the Granger Lake - Taylor Park Trail; a great nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites HUTTO. And if that's not sufficient, there's loads more to do close to Railroad Lake. Shady River Rv Resort is a great campground nearby; lakes are such peaceful places,                  why not have a look at Bland Lake. The yearly rainfall here at Railroad Lake is about average; May is the month that gets the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Mustang Creek Golf Course is a golf course in the vicinity of Railroad Lake, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Brushy Creek.
