If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Prater Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Old River Woodland Trail; Budget Inn is a splendid spot to get some rest. Visit Boggy Branch if you're here at Prater Lake, as expected you could also explore Adams Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. At Prater Lake during the months of summer highs are in the 90's. During       the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 70's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 50's; during the dark hours in the winter at Prater Lake temperatures descend to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Sawmill Hiking Trail is tremendous fun, and Prater Lake is a magnificent location to camp, Beech Grove Campground is a magnificent location. At Prater Lake you can observe Lynch Hill, and Twin Dikes                  Marina is a great campground here. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Jasper is a great place to spend a night or two. Prater Lake is right by the Martin Dies State Park Trail, and there are swamps here too, Ellis Pond Slough is in close proximity.
