Through the summertime months highs here at Plum Lake get into the 90's, and the overnight is quite chillier of course, frequently in the 70's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 60's with temperatures at Plum Lake dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. Huntsville       State Park Dam is wonderful and it's in close proximity to Plum Lake; don't leave Plum Lake without first going for a hike along the Green Loop Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Plum Lake. A glorious close by hotel is Americas Best Value Inn Huntsville, and there are pleasant places to look at along the Stubblefield Lake Trail. Plum Lake gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; through May                  this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is July. At Plum Lake you always meet someone from Huntsville, and you're most likely addicted to lakes, Huntsville State Park Lake is one of those nearby. After a long day outdoors Days Inn and Suites Huntsville is a fine place to spend a night or two, and camping is available at Lochness Marina & Rv Park. This lake is so wonderful.
