Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Hackberry Creek - Nueces River, and on a beautiful day you obtain a nice panorama of Echo Mountain from Pletcher Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Ledge Water is a tremendous place to camp; a short trip to Kelly Spring is always worthwhile. Around Pletcher Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the month of May is the wettest       with most of the rain, and December is the month with the least moisture. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Pletcher Lake. Pletcher Lake is a place with many visitors from Uvalde. This lake is so wonderful. At Pletcher Lake Dam close to Pletcher Lake there are some interesting things to see, and since you're here, you might as well stop at Flint Canyon. During the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 90's at Pletcher Lake. Once the sun is                  down it sinks down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Pletcher Lake.
