All through the long summer days here at Pickens Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 90's while night lows are typically in the 70's. All through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 50's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Pickens Lake temperatures dip to the 20's. The scenery at Pickens Dam in the neighborhood of Pickens Lake is beautiful, and the Ray Roberts Greenbelt       Corridor Trail offers hiking at its best. Man, is there heaps of fun stuff to do near Pickens Lake. There are some good whitewater spots on Furneaux Creek, and why not take a little journey to Mustang Creek if you're here. An average amount of precipitation falls at Pickens Lake; the month with most of the rain is May, and January on the other hand is the driest. Pickens Lake is right by the Jordon Park Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Suites                  Frisco is a good spot to get some rest; at Pickens Lake you always meet someone from Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington. Take a hike on the Elm Fork Greenbelt Trail, and Hall's RV Park is a great campground nearby.
