If you came for an overnight stay Hidden Cove Park is a good site to camp, and not far from Phillips Lake you'll find Phillips North Lake which is a striking lake. Preserve Trail. Man, is there loads of fun stuff to do in close proximity to Phillips Lake. There's nice hiking along the Elm Fork Nature Preserve Trail; whitewater paddling is great on Furneaux Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
An interesting thing to take a look at right next door to Phillips Lake is Phillips Dam, and Thousand Trails LP is a splendid campground nearby. The Leonard L Woods Park Trail offers hiking at its best, and you'll possibly meet some
people from Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington here. There are other locations here than Phillips Lake, for example Quisenberry Lake, and after a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn & Suites Dallas Plano/The Colony is a good spot to spend a night or two.
