Man, is there loads of fun stuff to do in close proximity to Phillips Lake. There's nice hiking along the Elm Fork Nature Preserve Trail; whitewater paddling is great on Furneaux Creek. This lake is so wonderful. An interesting thing to take a look at right next door to Phillips Lake is Phillips Dam, and Thousand Trails LP is a splendid campground nearby. The Leonard L Woods Park Trail offers hiking at its best, and you'll possibly meet some people from Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington here.
