You'll need more than a day to discover everything Phelps Lake has to offer, you can camp at Convenience RV Repair and Park; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Chambers Lake Dam. Best Western Willis is a great spot to get some rest, and going for a hike on the Lone Star Trail is always a wonderful adventure. This       lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Huntsville here. There's so much to do here at Phelps Lake that you need to camp here for a while, San Jo Cove is a magnificent location for that. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Phelps Lake, you could also visit lovely Shepard Lake. Phelps Lake truly is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. After a long day outdoors Landing At Seven Cove (Vri) is a pleasant site to spend a                  night or two, and let's not forget Chambers Creek which is a stream that you may bump into while you're here. Chambers Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and close by you hit upon the Stubblefield Lake Trail which is a great hiking trail. Summer at Phelps Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 70's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are typically in the 60's while Phelps Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 30's.
