Some nearby water includes Dry Creek, and Camp Coyote is a perfect local campground. Throughout the summertime months here at Persimmon Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 90's with overnight lows in the 70's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets       highs in the 60's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Persimmon Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Green Loop Trail is always a nice adventure. The annual rain here at Persimmon Lake is about average; May is the wettest month with most rain; July is when it's the driest. A round of golf at nearby Raven Nest Golf Club is a tremendous way to kill some time; close by you discover the Stubblefield Lake Trail which is a great hiking                  trail. You'll meet a lot of people from Huntsville here, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Americas Best Value Inn Huntsville. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are wonderful; Camelia Lake is a lake that's near Persimmon Lake, and Persimmon Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Lochness Marina & Rv Park is a great location to camp nearby. Be careful coming to Persimmon Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again.
