    In Texas there are many beautiful lakes, Pelaez Lake is one of them. Going for a hike on the Lost Maples State Natural Area Trails is always a brilliant adventure, and Pelaez Lake is a pleasant spot to visit for more than one day, Sabinal Canyon Campland is a pleasant spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Pelaez Lake without first going for a hike along the Kerr Wildlife Management Area Trail; Foster Hollow is definitely a fine spot to  
   visit. Pelaez Lake gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; October is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is December.
Throughout the warm days of summer here at Pelaez Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 90's, and the night is a little cooler of course, generally in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Pelaez Lake tend to be in the 20's. You'll need more than a day
 
               to look at everything Pelaez Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lost Maples Shp. All the outdoors cool stuff close to Pelaez Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. Go for a hike on the Garner State Park Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Frio River.
Evans Creek is a magnificent local stream, and Pelaez Lake is not far at all from Uvalde. Pelaez Lake is next to Pelaez Lake Dam which is a scenic place without doubt worth taking a look at, and if you come at the right time of year, Sabinal offers some good whitewater.
