Get drenched paddling on Terlingua Creek; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the White Trail. Paynes Waterhole is a pleasant site to visit for more than one day, Terlingua Oasis RV Park is a pleasant site to camp nearby, and going for a hike on the Agua Fria Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Any time is a pleasant time at Paynes Waterhole if you love the outdoors. Paddling on Terlingua Creek is so much       fun. At Paynes Waterhole you don’t see much rain; September is the month that gets the most rain; March meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 100's to Paynes Waterhole. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 70's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 60's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Paynes Waterhole temperatures plunge to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at B J RV                  Park; on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Terlingua Trail.
