Why not stop by Beecherl Dam while you're here; why not camp at Oakdale Park while you're here at Ownsby Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn and Suites Glen Rose is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and Oakdale Camp N Fish is a nice local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Mustang Creek flows through this neighborhood, and don't leave Ownsby Lake without first going for a hike along the Meridian State Park Trail.

A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Ownsby Lake; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is December. Go for a hike on the Bosque Trail; Mustang Lake is a glorious lake nearby. Paluxy River is a great whitewater spot in the vicinity of Ownsby Lake, and the great people of Granbury like to hang out close by.

summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. All through the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 50's while Ownsby Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. You can run the rapids of North Bosque River
in the neighborhood of Ownsby Lake, and glorious hiking is available along the Dinosaur Valley State Park Trail.
