Old River Lakes is a rather wet place mostly with a large amount of rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and August meanwhile is the driest month. That right there is a load already, but it carries on; Old River Lakes has it all. Take a side tour to Buck Branch, and while       you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Marshall. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail next to Old River Lakes called the Martin Creek Lake State Park Trail, and Little Jernigan Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. If you came for an overnight stay River Ridge Campground & Recreational Vehicle is a great place to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CARTHAGE. The beauty of                  mother nature reveals herself at Garner Spring, and if you get bored of Old River Lakes you could also take a look at close by Jernigan Lake. For you golfers we recommend nearby Carthage Country Club Lounge; why not camp at Green Acres Mobile Home Park if you're here at Old River Lakes. High temperatures at Old River Lakes through the summertime are in the 90's with overnight lows in the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Old River Lakes.
