Swamps like Mulberry Flat Slough are fun to go to, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Jasper is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Why not camp at Twin Dikes Marina since you're here at Old River Lakes, and a pleasant nearby hotel is Budget Inn. On a splendid day at Old River Lakes you can take a hike along the Martin Dies State Park Trail. It's a glorious idea to pop by Deep       Slough, it's in the vicinity of Old River Lakes, and there's a forest here called Pine Woods. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Old River Lakes is so good! If the weather is brilliant here at Old River Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Old River Woodland Trail, and obviously, this is a good vicinity for people who like lakes, Barrow Lake is a lake close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Beech Grove Campground                  is a wonderful spot to camp; the Sawmill Hiking Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Old River Lakes is a rather wet place frequently with a great deal of rain; December is when you get the most rain here while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Old River Lakes. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 70's.
