If you're here at Old Lake, you could check out Flag Branch, and there's whitewater on North Bosque River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. This lake is so wonderful. East Flat Top Lake is a splendid lake near Old Lake, and nearby you stumble on the Bosque Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. Going for a hike on the Meridian State Park Trail is always a good adventure, and from Old Lake you get a glorious panorama of Flat Top Mountain. The amount of rain

Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. If you need a site to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites Glen Rose is a good choice; why not camp at Oakdale Park if you're here at Old Lake. through the wintertime are typically in the 50's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Old Lake plunge into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Oakdale Camp N Fish; after a long
day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GLEN ROSE is a perfect location to spend a night or two.
You're sure to run into some nice people from Granbury here. Lakes are such calm places, why not go to Mustang Lake close
to Old Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Paluxy River. Old Lake Dam is worth taking a look at while you're here, and the Dinosaur Valley State Park Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby.
