Paddling on Nueces River is so much fun, and while you're here, you could pop by Coyote Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites UVALDE, and going for a hike on the Garner State Park Trail is always a good adventure. One of the dominant marks of the surroundings of Nueces Lake is Shoe Peg Mountain, and if you came to camp Welch Feed and RV Center is a delightful       spot to do that. Arnold Crossing Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and camping at Ledge Water is always a brilliant experience. All the outdoors entertaining stuff close to Nueces Lake will keep you coming back again and again. At Nueces Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 90's; the overnight is a bit chillier of course, generally in the 60's. During the wintertime highs are commonly in the 60's, and overnight lows at Nueces Lake through the                  winter usually dip into the 30's.
