For the duration of the summertime here at Northgate Reservoir, high temperatures typically get into the 90's; the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, usually in the 70's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's with temperatures at Northgate Reservoir dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are great; Kolls Lake is a lake       that's near Northgate Reservoir, and during your journey here you'll meet some people from Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood for sure. There's perfect hiking along the Chalk Ridge Falls Park Trail; there's some out of the ordinary stuff to catch a sight of at Belton Dam next to Northgate Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Budget Host Inn Belton is a great choice; the Dana Peak Park Trail offers hiking at its best. Paddling on Salado                  Creek is so much fun; enjoy a round of golf at Leon Valley Golf Course. Camping at Belton Koa Kampground is always a perfect experience, and unsurprisingly, this is a great area for folks who like lakes, Belton Lake is a lake close by. Northgate Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. Northgate Reservoir is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Belton / Temple / Killeen KOA is a glorious local campground; dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn - Belton/Temple. Northgate Reservoir is a good spot of common rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain while January is frequently the driest month.
