Don't leave North Lake without first going for a hike along the L B Houston Park Nature Trail, and if you need a place to stay Staybridge Suites IRVING is a pleasant choice. Sandy Lake RV Park is a good local campground, and the nice folks of Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Walnut Grove Trail, and a fine place for whitewater       paddling is Furneaux Creek. Throughout the summertime months at North Lake temperatures are mostly in the 90's, and the night is somewhat colder of course, mostly in the 70's. During the winter the highs are regularly in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at North Lake temperatures drop to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Elm Fork Nature Preserve Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Select Dallas/Ft Worth                  Arpt/North, Tx; naturally South Fork Grapevine Creek is a wonderful stream that is worth a visit. North Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Lewisville Mobile Home Park is a great location to camp nearby, and golf can be played at Carrollton City of Indian Creek Golf Club. So much exciting stuff to do at North Lake, so little time. You don’t have to go far from North Lake to distinguish the water at North Lake Dam, and you can run the rapids of Denton Creek.
