North Lake Dam is not far at all from North Lake; South Fork Grapevine Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at. Sandy Lake RV Park is a wonderful campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There are perfect spots to explore along the L B Houston Park Nature Trail; you can run the rapids of Denton Creek. Lakes? Sure, Sandy Lake is close by, and you're sure to encounter some smiling       folks from Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington here. North Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is January. A round of golf at nearby Carrollton City of Indian Creek Golf Club is a great way to kill some time, and going for a hike on the Elm Fork Nature Preserve Trail is always a pleasant adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Furneaux Creek is a splendid whitewater spot right next door to North                  Lake, and after a long day outdoors Staybridge Suites IRVING is a great spot to spend a night or two. Stay the night at Lewisville Mobile Home Park; Holiday Inn Select Dallas/Ft Worth Arpt/North, Tx is a pleasant place to get some rest. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to North Lake. Not far from North Lake, you'll discover Cabell Lake which is a beautiful lake; you can go for a hike on the Walnut Grove Trail. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at North Lake get into the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 70's.
