Econo Lodge Jasper is a wonderful place to get some rest, and the Martin Dies State Park Trail offers hiking at its best. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things close to Neyland Lake. There's great hiking along the Old River Woodland Trail, and a perfect swamp right next door to Neyland Lake is Bee Tree Swamp. This lake is so wonderful. Angelina River is a stream that you may encounter       while here, and Moon Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. A pleasant spree to Johnson Flats is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel Jasper TX is a great choice, and if you came for an overnight stay Beech Grove Campground is a good spot to camp. Neyland Lake is a wet spot that gets a good deal of rain; December is the month that gets the most rain while August is ordinarily the driest month. Why not                  take a refreshing hike along the Sawmill Hiking Trail, and Twin Dikes Marina is a good campground nearby. Through the summer months at Neyland Lake highs are generally in the 90's; the nighttime is a little cooler of course, usually in the 70's.
