You'll need more than a day to look at everything Nelms Lake has to offer, you can camp at Big Creek Marina, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites       BRENHAM is a perfect choice. At Nelms Lake throughout the summer months highs are in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 60's with winter lows in the 40's overnight here at Nelms Lake. Nelms Lake is a good place of typical rain; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful.
