Many people like to go to Mustang Waterhole. High temperatures at Mustang Waterhole throughout the warm months are in the 90's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 50's; overnight lows at Mustang Waterhole through the winter regularly plunge into the 20's. Just can't get enough of Mustang Waterhole. | | Area Trail; glide down the rapids of Hondo Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Twin Elm Guest Ranch is always a tremendous experience; a great place is Turkey Hollow.
Some close by water includes Bandera Creek, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Verde Creek. From a rainfall point of view Mustang Waterhole is a pretty typical place; May is when you get the most rain here, and December is the month with the least moisture.
