Mullen Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Running Branch Marina and Campground is a wonderful local campground, and going for a hike on the Fort Parker State Park Hiking Trail is always a wonderful adventure.       From a rainfall point of view Mullen Lake is a pretty typical site; during May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July.
