Camping at Heartland RV Park is always a magnificent experience, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Lone Star Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Huntsville State Park Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Lake       is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Harmon Creek RV Park and Marina is a fine local campground, and if you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Huntsville is a delightful choice. Caney Creek is a pretty stream that is worth a visit, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Eastham and Thomason Ranches Lake. The annual rainfall here at Mud Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is May, and August is                  the month with the least moisture. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Mud Lake reach the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 70's.
