There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Chain-o-lakes Resort is a splendid location for that. Man, is there plenty of entertaining stuff to do in the vicinity of Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a look at Cypress Lake Dam since you're here, and if you get bored of Mud Lake you could also go to close by Willis Lake. Mud Lake gets       a lot of water; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is August. Through the warm days of summer at Mud Lake highs are frequently in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 70's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Mud Lake. Davis Bayou is a nice local stream, and Horseshoe Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at.
