Good hiking is available along the Purtis Creek State Park Trail, and camping at Flame Mobile Home and RV Park is always a splendid experience. Morrow Lake gets much water;       May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is August. This lake is so wonderful. Morrow Lake is in the vicinity of Murchison Lake Dam which is a beautiful place definitely worth a visit, and dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn/Athens.
