If you came for an overnight stay Collin Park RV Resort and Marina is a nice site to camp, and not far from Moores Lake you'll come across Sands Lake which is a wonderful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Rockwall is a nice location to get some rest. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Moores Lake. Lakes are glorious; Emerson Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Moores Lake, and Duck Creek is       a brilliant whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. If you're going to Moores Lake from Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington, you won't be the only one, and delightful hiking is available along the Trinity Trail. You can take a little spree to Boyd Lake Dam while you're here at Moores Lake; if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Rockwall, Texas is a great choice. Why not camp at Mc Elroy Mobile Home Park while you're here at                  Moores Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Sister Grove Park Trail. Moores Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rain; May is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Moores Lake; Wylie Community Park Trail is a great local trail; you can run the rapids of Rowlett Creek. Throughout the warm months at Moores Lake temperatures are generally in the 90's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's.
