Monk Lake gets a typical amount of rain; May is when you get the most rain here while August is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful close by hotel is Ramada Kilgore/Longview, and Monk Lake is not the only place close by, Stroman Lake is a close by lake. Throughout the summer here at Monk Lake,       high temperatures typically get into the 90's, and the night is quite cooler of course, typically in the 70's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Monk Lake. Days Inn Kilgore is a nice place to get some rest, and if you've had enough of Monk Lake, Gladewater Hunt and Fish Club Lake is nearby. What a place this is for outdoors people.
