     Meadow Pond is a nice lake to visit. Meadow Pond is a good site of normal precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Here at Meadow Pond there are plenty of people from Sherman-Denison; Cedar Mills Marina and Resort is a good local campground. Russell Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit, and great hiking is available along the Eisenhower State Park Trail.
This lake is so
 
   wonderful. A lake close by is Deaver Pond, and a great close by hotel is Tanglewood Resort. Go for a hike on the Herman Baker Park Trail, and Meadow Pond is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Sunshine Farms RV Park is a splendid place to camp nearby.
You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Sherman is a perfect place to spend a night or two; do explore Deaver Creek while you're here at Meadow
 
               Pond. Summertime highs at Meadow Pond frequently tend to be in the 90's while night lows are generally in the 70's. During the wintertime highs are usually in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Meadow Pond.

You are right.  Alot of my best childhood memories are of that place.  I am stationed in Iraq right now and cant wait to get home and just take a nice walk around the lake...Same here.  I am 29 stationed in Iraq, I don't know how many times I have fished hiked and slid down the dam.  I have a picture hanging up here of my grandfather standing by the lake holding a small mouth bass.  A lot of my best memories growing up took place at that small oasis....Same as Armando...My mom used to take us and have picnics and we would get boxes and just slide down the hills.  It's so pretty there.  Just dont go at night......
