If you are in this part of Texas make sure to pay a visit to McSpadden Lake. McSpadden Lake gets very little precipitation; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is January. Good hiking is available along the Palo Duro Canyon State Park Trail. Lake there are some exciting things to see.
Through the summer months, highs typically are in the 90's at McSpadden Lake, and the nighttime is a little colder of course, commonly in the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are
in the 50's with temperatures at McSpadden Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp West Rim RV Park is a perfect spot to do that; lots of people from Amarillo come here.
