The amount of rain that falls at McDonald Lake is       close to the national average; May is when you get the most rain here while July is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Haverlah Lake is in the vicinity, and a splendid site to camp here at McDonald Lake is HWY 155 RV Park. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Nature Trail, and Holiday Inn Express Palestine, Tx is a splendid place to get some rest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to McDonald Lake, and                  the nighttime is quite cooler of course, generally in the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at McDonald Lake descend into the 30's.
