Bear Woods Flat is a magnificent place to check out, and a lake nearby is Harper Pond. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Massey Lake get into the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 60's, and nighttime lows at Massey       Lake through the winter ordinarily dip into the 30's. Massey Lake regularly gets much rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is August. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BEAUMONT NW is a splendid location to get some rest, and hiking along the Tyrell Park Trail is perfect fun. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like Massey Lake Slough are fun to stop at. There's so much to do here at Massey Lake that you need to camp here for                  a while, Village Creek State Park is a wonderful site for that. Just can't get enough of Massey Lake. Take a hike on the Roy E Larsen Sandyland Sanctuary Trail, and as expected, all our national parks are magnificent locations to visit and Big Thicket National Preserve is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Big Thicket - Kirby Nature Trail.
