You'll meet a lot of folks from College Station-Bryan here. There's so much to do here at Mallard Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Somerville-Birch State Park is a brilliant location for that. Mallard Lake gets a typical       amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is August. Through the summertime months here at Mallard Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 70's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 50's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Mallard Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. There are other sites here than Mallard Lake, for example Palmer Lake, and the Yegua Creek Park Nature Trail offers hiking at its best. Mallard Lake is right by the Lake Bryan Trail.
