    Mallard Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. If you need a place to stay Fairfield Inn By Marriott Bryan is a good choice, and since you're here, you could stop by Berry Creek. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from College Station-Bryan here. There's so much to do here at Mallard Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Somerville-Birch State Park is a brilliant location for that. Mallard Lake gets a typical  
   amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is August.
Through the summertime months here at Mallard Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 70's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 50's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Mallard Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. Now, you may think
 
               that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Mallard Lake. Not far from Mallard Lake, you'll hit upon Beaver Lake which is a delightful lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Lake Somerville Trailway. There are other sites here than Mallard Lake, for example Palmer Lake, and the Yegua Creek Park Nature Trail offers hiking at its best.
Mallard Lake is right by the Lake Bryan Trail. After a long day outdoors LaSalle Hotel is a great place to spend a night or two, and Mallard Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Big Creek Marina is a fine local campground.
