M D Heatly Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. Throughout the summertime, highs usually are in the 90's at M D Heatly Reservoir. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's with temperatures at M D Heatly Reservoir dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. There's whitewater on Blanco River for all you adrenaline junkies; at M D Heatly Dam next to M D Heatly Reservoir

| | there are some interesting things to see. There are some great whitewater spots on San Marcos River; probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Alexander Lake is just a very short distance away.

M D Heatly Reservoir gets a common amount of precipitation; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy
a round of golf at Plum Creek Golf Course not far from M D Heatly Reservoir, and you can go for a hike on the Mary Moore Searight Park Trail. Here at M D Heatly Reservoir there are plenty of folks from Austin-Round Rock.
