Halifax Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth stopping at, and a great place for whitewater paddling is San Marcos River. Through the warm days of summer here at Lutranger Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 50's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Lutranger Lake tend to be in the 30's. If you're a golfer then a delightful       nearby course is Plum Creek Golf Course, and Lutranger Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Plum Creek Recreational Vehicle Resort is a tremendous local campground. Don't leave Lutranger Lake without first going for a hike along the Circle C Slaughter Creek Trail, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to observe at Lutranger Lake Dam close to Lutranger Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Best Western Southgate                  Inn & Suites is a brilliant choice. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Lutranger Lake. There are brilliant locations to explore along the Prospect Park Trail, and a tremendous location to camp here at Lutranger Lake is Hunters Chase Farms. Go for a hike on the Rim Rock Trail; you can run the rapids of Blanco River. This lake is so wonderful. People from Austin-Round Rock love to come to Lutranger Lake; dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn AND Suites Kyle.
