Camping at Forest Hollow RV Park is always a wonderful experience, and Little Mac Lake is a pleasant lake nearby. Long Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, East Lucas RV Park is a nice local campground. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BEAUMONT NW is a brilliant place       to spend a night or two; if you like swamps you're in luck, Banks Bayou is right nearby. The high level of rainfall makes Long Lake a relatively wet place; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and April is when it's the driest. Throughout the days of summer at Long Lake highs are typically in the 90's, and the night is rather colder of course, commonly in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 50's while the cold winter                  nights at Long Lake are in the 30's. La Quinta Inn & Suites Lumberton is a good spot to get some rest; hiking is a popular thing to do around Long Lake; Roy E Larsen Sandyland Sanctuary Trail is a pleasant local trail. And if that's not sufficient, there's loads more to do next to Long Lake. Big Thicket National Preserve is a very tremendous location to explore close to Long Lake. Lakes?
