Some of the water close by flows, like Cherry Creek, and close by you find the Big Thicket - Big Sandy Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Livingston, and if you've had enough of Long Lake, White Roselake is close by. Long Lake gets lots of water;       May is the wettest month with most rain while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Why not camp at Chain-o-lakes Resort while you're here at Long Lake, and you're probably keen on lakes, Ward Prairie Lakes is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Livingston is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Big Thicket - Woodlands Trail is always a magnificent                  adventure. At Long Lake all through the long summer days highs are in the 90's while night lows are commonly in the 70's.
