Through the summer months at Long Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's while overnight lows are generally in the 70's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Long Lake plunge into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like Hillside Slough near Long Lake make for good locations to pop by; there is a great hiking trail close       by called the Fairfield Lake State Park Trails. Long Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rain; May is when you get the most rain here, and August on the other hand is the driest. Newman's RV Park is a tremendous campground nearby, and swing by Cottonwood Creek it's a great spot to stop by. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Fairfield is a nice place to spend a night or two.
